In designing the Fima Headquarters, the goal was to achieve a balance between natural and artificial light. Located on the top floor of the Building, with its sloped ceiling and four-directional openings, the space benefited from abundant daylight—yet this advantage also presented challenges in controlling heat, glare, and temperature. By recessing the façades and introducing semi-open spaces with planter boxes, natural light was filtered, while the shadows of greenery and the depth of the façades created a more balanced and comfortable lighting quality indoors. Additionally, removing part of the roof to create a semi-open central terrace allowed daylight to penetrate deep into the interior, turning this feature into the defining element of the office.
To complement the natural light, artificial lighting was designed to enhance visual comfort and create a sense of balance throughout the space:
-
“Linno” luminaires were used in work areas to provide uniform, efficient lighting that supports focus and visual clarity.
-
In common areas, “Trimo” and “Manna Mini” dark-light fixtures delivered soft, even illumination that prevents glare and enhances spatial calmness.
-
At the entrance, a double-sided “Proline” fixture was installed to provide task lighting for the reception counter, adding precision and elegance to this focal point.
-
In the management office, Multi Track system was employed to allow flexible lighting according to different needs.
-
Finally, “Ringo” luminaire was placed above the decorative tree, highlighting the centerpiece of the space.
